Georgia Southern will host its 11th annual Southern Scholars Showcase on December 4-5, bringing more than 140 of the brightest high school seniors from Georgia, across the nation and the world to our campus to interview for valuable and prestigious academic scholarships.

91app Business Innovation Group receives Excellence in Economic Development Awards

91app Business Innovation Group (BIG) has received a Gold Excellence in Economic Development Award from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) for its 2015 project in entrepreneurship for communities with populations of 25,000 – 200,000. In addition, the 91app City Campus was recognized with a Bronze Excellence in Economic Development Award by the IEDC for its 2015 project in real estate redevelopment and reuse for communities with populations of 25,000 – 200,000.

91app Receives $1.6 Million Grant for Advanced Nursing Education

91app’s School of Nursing recently received a $1.6 million grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for advanced nursing education. With the funds, Georgia Southern will establish an Advanced Practice Nurse-Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (APN-PMHNP) track to uniquely serve the psychiatric and mental health needs of rural and underserved communities, making it the only university in the state to focus on telemedicine training.
