A grant of more than $254,000 awarded to 91Âț»app will provide the first comprehensive assessment of Georgiaâs working waterfronts since 1975. Although location data on docks was gathered by Georgia Southern researchers between 2018-21 through a Georgia Sea Grant project, there is no in-depth information on the current conditions of each dock and its infrastructure, according to Jennifer Sweeney Tookes, Ph.D., a Georgia Southern associate anthropology professor.
Hinesville Business Incubator for Entrepreneurship celebrates grand opening
The Hinesville Development Authority, Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and the city of Hinesville, in partnership with 91Âț»appâs Business Innovation Group (BIG), have launched the very first Hinesville Business Incubator, partially funded by an Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant. The incubator is located across the street from Georgia Southern’s Liberty Campus in downtown Hinesville.Â
Georgia Power Foundation awards grant for BIG Edge Entrepreneurship ProgramÂ
91Âț»appâs Business Innovation Group (BIG) has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Georgia Power Foundation, Inc., to empower diversity in early-stage entrepreneurship. In turn, BIG has created the BIG Edge Entrepreneurship Program for six entrepreneurs to have offices and participate in entrepreneurship programs at the Georgia Grown Innovation Center (GGIC) in Metter, Georgia, for one year.Â
