Arbor Day annual celebration helps to make Georgia Southern greener
Georgia Southernâs Center for Sustainability (CfS) and Division of Facilities Services hosted a celebration honoring Georgia Arbor Day on the Statesboro Campus by planting trees on historic Sweetheart Circle. Students, CfS staff and campus volunteers teamed up to plant 25 containerized trees on Sweetheart Circle and Southern Drive and 650 seedlings around campus.

Broadway favorite âGodspellâ will be presented by 91Âț»appâs Theatre and Performance program and the Performing Arts Center (PAC) on the Statesboro Campus Feb. 27 through March 1. The musical is a part of the PACâs 2019-2020 Main Stage Series.
A new playing field: former athlete turned educational leader inspires students to be campus, community leaders
John Egan, Ed.D., spent his undergraduate and graduate academic career pursuing degrees in sports management. As an award-winning college pole vaulter, Egan wanted to continue his passion for sports, melding it into his career. Yet, when he began as an advisor in Georgia Southernâs Student-Athlete Services, which provides academic support and development to student-athletes, in 2012, Eganâs professional focus quickly shifted from sports management to students.
