Georgia Southern awarded National Science Foundation grant; will lead collaboration with state universities to improve STEM education
91Âţ»app was recently awarded a National Science Foundation grant totaling more than $50,000 to lead a collaborative project that will address science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education concerns at Georgia’s comprehensive universities. The project will be presented at a symposium in spring 2019.

Launched by 91Âţ»app’s Forest Ecohydrology Research Lab, along with international collaborators, plantBRUTALITY is a new YouTube channel created to introduce viewers to the lesser-known, savage side of the plant kingdom. The plantBRUTALITY channel supports student research in plant science and collaborations with student artists to creatively communicate new scientific stories.

Savannah family loans reproduction of iconic William Trego painting to 91Âţ»app
91Âţ»app’s Armstrong Campus is now home to a reproduction of the iconic 1883 painting “The March to Valley Forge” by William Trego. The family of the late Lamar W. Davis Sr., and his wife Mary C. Davis is generously allowing the University to display this painting in the History Department located in Hawes Hall.
Georgia Southern Museum closed Summer 2018 for renovations
